So. Much. Trash. This place has been an eyesore since they built it just a few years ago. Just more cheaply made, steeply priced apartments. Just what State College needs more of! When I was first here and I saw the large amounts of trash I incorrectly assumed it was trash day. Turns out, it looks like this all the time! Large piles of stinking garbage on every single apartments porch. I was once here on a windy day and majority of the trash was blowing freely in a trash tornado. 🗑️🌪️

I absolutely love the layout and modern day look of these apartments, but I especially love the club house. I can’t even lie, it’s so fire! I spend most of my time there either working out at the gym which is in fact better than any other off campus apt gym (I’ve wandered around) or being locked in in one of the study areas.

The Yards is an amazing place to be! I love the convenience of a peaceful atmosphere, along with its close proximity to a multitude of resources (food, shopping, etc.). More notably, the amenities are top-notch. I say this with my whole chest, this is the place to be! The staff members are highly professional, I love Chris!

I really enjoy living here. It’s more peaceful than anywhere I’ve lived before. The views are great especially on walks. The amenities are really nice and the clubhouse is a great place to do your homework. I’ve seen a lot of reviews about the Wi-Fi not working, but I haven’t had that happen to me. Maintenance is quick to fix your requests. I definitely recommend living here!

Great layouts for apartments. For someone like myself that loves big spaces, the kitchen and the bedroom certainly reflect that. Not too far away from campus, but not too close either to be around Downtown's crazy. Price is a lil high but the amenities they offer do make up for it though

This place is a total facade. Their marketing scheme rides heavily on the amenities they provide and how a lot of stuff come included with the home. The problem is that the vast majority of their promises 1. Defective or 2. Completely nonexistent. Their whole trap to get you to sign a lease was that they advertised very heavily you would get a $1000 gift card within a month of signing. Not a single person I know has received a penny of that. You call management and they just shew you off the phone and tell you that it will be coming in the next or to check your spam email folder. They bake in the costs of things like Wi-Fi and AC/heat but it’s nearly impossible that you can go a week straight without having a problem with it. Wi-Fi is down more than it is up, and the ac/heat has a mind of its own or just doesn’t work. Home came with broken appliances that took months of hassling management to get fixed. Very unfortunate because if things ran smoothly here, it would be worth every penny and then some.

Way overpriced for what it is. The gym is filthy, like a construction site (holes on walls). Management team is incompetent. They are doing a terrible job managing the place and they are mean people. The community printer is broken way more often than it is functioning. The entire community stinks because the Yards don't pay the valet trash people to do their job. Don't get tricked by the website, it might be the only thing this place does a good job on. When a community spends way more energy on marketing than managing the place itself, you know this place is a zoo.
